JBL to Montana

Yes the JBL is finally off the ground and moving to Montana. The frame and all the components have been completed and Larry Goins was down in Fallbrook on July 16, 2004 to trailer it up to the final assembly facility. From order to “stage 1” completion is very impressive, with the schedule Larry is hoping to complete the car this should be done soon.

Well I know lot of people cannot actually believe it but I finally placed the order for the JBL. After months of trying to figure out JBL, BDR, Superformance, ERA, etc…. I finally decided that the JBL is going to be the most fun.

I am having Larry with JBL build the car to a stage 3. The difference between the two builds are only 1 or 2 thousand different� and knowing my schedule I would be lucky to finish it within a few years.

My original plan was to give the �butcher� aka Andy www.cobralads.com a run for his money and show how fast and error free a car could be build. Who and I kidding. As Stacey knows I typically get pulled off a project mid stream and have to resume weeks later and try to determine what I was actually trying to accomplish. The only way I could complete the project would be to take off a month and build the car, and why do I not think that would be possible.

Larry is going to be able to complete the car in 90 day after receipt of the stage 1 from the manufacturing facilities in San Diego. Larry is located in Montana, so it is not going to be as easy to �pop in� for a quick visit. Maybe he designed it that way

The color is going to be a Dark Gray (2003 Mustang) with a Dark Blue stripe. As my friend John Holmes likes to say� it is going to pop yo!

The motor should be on order soon� I am waiting back from both DSS and Keith Craft to determine which way to go� looking for a 351w with about 500 hp. This car (and I) do not need an excessive amount of hp since it is so light it would be hard to actually get it all to the ground.

Well I am finally getting the website up, in anticipation of getting the cobra on order very soon… I am waiting back from JBL on a final quote for a stage 3.
